with Fairmont Specialty becoming a division of
Crum & Forster Holding Inc..
Fairmont Specialty policies are underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company,
The North River Insurance Company, and Crum & Forster Indemnity Company.

Fairmont Specialty
first entered the Hawaii insurance market place in 1948
under the name of its predecessor, Transamerica Insurance Company.
During the first 24 years of operation, business was primarily
conducted from the mainland. The actual establishment of
local branch office occurred in 1972. |
The Hawaii
Business Unit markets its insurance products through 20
local independent
General Agencies. These agencies
are domiciled on the Island of Oahu. A number of these
agencies provide coverage state wide through branch offices
located on the neighbor islands. The Hawaii office focuses
on personal lines, workers compensation and commercial
liability
and property coverages.
Fairmont Specialty Hawaii provides the
following services, underwriting, claims, loss control,
premium audit, policy services and
accounting. Currently the Hawaii Business Unit has 88 employees.
The office is located on the 22nd floor in the Makai Tower
of the Pacific Guardian Center. Business Hours are 8:00
AM to 5:00 PM.
